Oluwafunmilayo married David Joseph on October 21, 2026, at House of Praise Baltimore, in a ceremony attended by family members, senior church leaders and other guests.
One of the highlights of the occasion was a special prayer and marriage blessing delivered by Adeboye for the newlyweds. Videos of the moment circulated on social media on Friday, attracting attention from members of the church and other followers.
The bride is the daughter of Pastor Bolu Adubi, Adeboye’s only daughter, and her husband, Pastor Akinsanya Adubi. During the ceremony, Bolu personally handed her daughter over to the groom.
The wedding combined Western and Nigerian traditions, reflecting the couple’s cultural backgrounds and family heritage.
The traditional wedding ceremony also attracted attention online after its master of ceremonies, Foluso Ogunjimi, popularly known as Sokoyokoto, shared photographs and messages celebrating the union.
In one of his posts, Ogunjimi described the bride as the “graceful granddaughter” of the RCCG General Overseer and congratulated the couple on their marriage.
“It’s all about Oluwafunmilayo, the graceful granddaughter of Pastor E A Adeboye, the General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God. The union is greatly blessed,” he wrote.
In another post, the master of ceremonies congratulated the couple, expressing anticipation for their future family life.
“Great Grandparents loading. Congratulations Daddy & MGO,” Ogunjimi wrote, referring to Adeboye and his wife, who are popularly addressed by RCCG members as Daddy G.O. and Mummy G.O.
Photographs shared online showed the couple at the ceremony, alongside Adeboye and his wife, who joined other family members and guests to celebrate the occasion.
The wedding has continued to generate interest on social media, particularly following the circulation of footage showing the respected cleric praying for his granddaughter and her husband.
