Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso Extends Eid-el-Kabir Greetings, Urges Prayers for Nigeria

Former Kano State Governor and NDC Chieftain, Dr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has extended warm Eid-el-Kabir greetings to Muslims and Nigerians across the country, calling on citizens to use the sacred period to pray for peace, unity, and divine intervention in the nation’s affairs.

Kwankwaso, popularly known as RMK, made the call in a goodwill message released to commemorate the Eid celebration, also known as Sallah, one of the most important religious festivals observed by Muslims worldwide.

In his message, the former presidential candidate urged Nigerians to embrace the values of sacrifice, compassion, tolerance, and unity which the season represents.

“On this blessed day of Eid, I extend warm and heartfelt greetings to all Nigerians. May our celebration be filled with joy, peace, and abundant blessings,” he stated.

Kwankwaso encouraged citizens to reflect deeply during the festive season and seek Allah’s mercy and guidance for the country, especially at a time when Nigeria continues to face economic, security, and social challenges.

“Let us use this sacred period to reflect, pray for our dear nation, and earnestly seek Allah’s mercy, guidance, and intervention in our collective affairs,” he added.

The former Kano governor stressed the importance of national unity and collective responsibility, noting that the country can only overcome its challenges through sincere prayers, patriotism, and commitment to peace and development.

Eid-el-Kabir, celebrated by Muslims around the world, commemorates the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son in obedience to Allah’s command before God provided a ram as a substitute. The festival is marked by prayers, charity, acts of kindness, and the sharing of food with family, friends, and the less privileged.

Across Nigeria, political leaders, religious figures, and public office holders have continued to send goodwill messages to Muslims, urging peaceful coexistence and national unity during the celebration.

Kwankwaso’s message also comes amid growing calls for leaders and citizens alike to place national interest above political, ethnic, and religious differences in order to build a more stable and prosperous nation.

The former minister prayed for Allah’s continued blessings upon Nigerians and wished Muslims a peaceful and fulfilling Eid celebration.

“Barka da Sallah!” he concluded.
