Hundreds of residents in Plateau State took to the streets in protest following the killings that occurred on Palm Sunday, expressing anger and frustration over the recurring violence in the state.

The demonstration began early on Monday, March 30, at Anguwan Rukuba in Jos North Local Government Area—the same community where the tragic incident took place. Protesters gathered at the scene, turning the location into a focal point for public grief and outrage.

Carrying placards and chanting, the residents called on authorities to take decisive action to end the cycle of violence. Many argued that existing measures, including the imposition of curfews, have failed to provide lasting security or prevent repeated attacks on communities.

According to participants, the situation requires more than temporary restrictions. They urged both the state and federal governments to implement concrete strategies that would address the root causes of the crisis and ensure the safety of lives and property.

Footage from the protest, which has circulated widely online, captured the scale of the turnout as well as the intensity of emotions among demonstrators. The videos also showed the moment the Plateau State Governor, Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, arrived at the protest site, where he was received by the crowd.

The protest underscores growing public concern over insecurity in Plateau State, as residents continue to demand urgent and effective intervention from authorities.
