Presidential candidate of Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) Peter Obi has extended warm birthday wishes to the Governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, describing the occasion as an opportunity to appreciate the gift of life and reflect on the responsibilities that accompany leadership.
In a goodwill message released on Tuesday, Obi congratulated the governor on attaining another year and prayed for God’s continued guidance in his life and service to the people of Anambra State.
“I warmly congratulate the Governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, on the occasion of his birthday,” Obi stated.
He noted that birthdays are significant milestones that offer individuals the chance to thank God for preserving their lives while also reflecting on the opportunities and obligations that come with each new year.
According to Obi, the celebration of another birthday should inspire gratitude, renewed commitment to service and a deeper appreciation of the responsibilities entrusted to leaders.
“Birthdays are moments to thank God for the gift of life and to reflect on the opportunities and responsibilities that come with each new year,” he said.
The former governor of Anambra State prayed that Soludo would be blessed with good health, strength and wisdom as he continues to lead the state.
“As Governor Soludo marks another year today, I wish him good health, strength, wisdom and God’s continued guidance,” Obi added.
He further prayed that the new year in Soludo’s life would bring peace, fulfilment and abundant blessings.
“May this new year of your life bring you peace, fulfilment and abundant blessings,” he said.
Obi concluded his message on a cordial note, referring to the governor as his “dear elder brother” and wishing him a happy birthday.
“Happy Birthday, my dear elder brother, Governor Charles Soludo,” the message concluded.
The birthday message highlights the longstanding relationship between the two Anambra political leaders, both of whom have served as governors of the state and remain prominent figures in Nigeria’s political landscape. Well-wishers across Anambra State and beyond have continued to send congratulatory messages to Governor Soludo as he marks another year.
