The atmosphere was charged with excitement at St. Anne’s Schools, Kaduna, as students, teachers, parents, and non-teaching staff gathered to witness a historic homecoming. The event marked the official launch of the Son of Grace (SOG) brand by multiple award-winning global and diasporan artiste, Ambassador David Obama Onyekachi Geoman, popularly known as The Green Panther and the African Michael Jackson.

The launch, which coincided with the young ambassador’s 16th birthday, also featured the unveiling of the SOG Awards for Excellence, aimed at recognizing outstanding performance among primary and secondary school students.

Each award comprises a certificate and a cash prize.

The Son of Grace brand is a subsidiary of David Obama Onyekachi Geoman (D.O.O.G) Integrated Synergy Ltd.

Speaking at the event, Amb. David encouraged pupils of his alma mater to dream boldly and believe in their aspirations. He expressed gratitude to his teachers for their guidance and support, crediting them for shaping his character and early success.

Amb. David Obama Onyekachi Geoman is a multi-talented singer, composer, and actor, and the composer of the Diasporan Anthem.

His numerous recognitions include Global Ambassador, National Humanitarian Award, the Youngest Inductee into the 1000 Nigerian Peace Ambassadors, and an Inductee into the Kaduna Political Awards Hall of Fame.

The event also provided a platform to showcase products under the SOG brand, including a clothing line, bags, books, and rice. Guests were treated to live performances of some of his popular songs such as “Glory at the Top,” “Orphans Cry,” and “This Life.”

A major highlight of the ceremony was the cake-cutting session, which drew an emotional response from attendees. This was followed by the presentation of awards to several institutions and distinguished individuals in recognition of their contributions.

The award recipients included St. Anne’s Nursery and Primary School, St. Anne’s Secondary School, Kaduna, Demonstration Secondary School, Kaduna, and the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM). Also honoured was Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, OON, Chief Executive Officer of NiDCOM,In recognition of her leadership strides,Dedication to Diaspora affairs, and for the genuine love and affection she has showed to him. He also used the opportunity to thank the former Headmistress of the school Rev Sr Monica Onwunali OLA, for all the love care and support she gave him as a pupil.

He also Thanked his family and members of the Son of Grace Team led by his indefatigable father, High Chief Amb Christopher Columbus Onukwugharia Geoman, without whose dogged belief and support none of this would have been possible

Delivering the vote of thanks, the Headmistress of St. Anne’s Nursery and Primary School, Rev. Sr. Esther Vambe, described the gesture as rare and commendable. She noted that it was uncommon for former pupils particularly at such a young age to return to their primary school to celebrate milestones and give back. She prayed for God’s continued guidance and protection upon the young ambassador.

The event was described by attendees as a joyful and inspiring occasion, leaving lasting memories for both learners and staff.
